Fallout 76 Nuke Guide

Where To Find Silo Code Pieces And Access Silos

Well, regardless of what your goal is, let’s get straight into it and tell you everything you need to know to get your hands on one of these precious weapons of mass destruction.

First, you are going to need Silo Code pieces

I know you want to run straight into a Nuclear Launch site and fire a Nuke but you are going to have to work for it first.

You’ll need to seek out Silo Code Pieces which are random drops from unique enemy officer enemies littered across the map. These can either be from Scorched Officers or Feral Ghoul Officers, for example.

After looting a body and finding a code, one of the three hidden solos will be marked on your map.

Just remember, one code isn’t enough to launch a Nuke (eight in total) so you’ll need to either find the rest of the codes or other players who have them to get to the end-game.

It is also worth mentioning that the code you find will only exist for a week. If you don’t use it by then, you’ll need to find another one to launch a Nuke.

Once you have all the Codes, it is time to gain access to the Silos

After collecting the codes, there is still something you need to do to gain access to the Silo. You’ll need to join the organization known as the Enclave which are located in Appalachia.

You can find them housed in an Abandoned Waste Dump in the Mire, which is guarded by two level 20 Deathclaws. Once you solve the puzzles within the Waste Dump, you’ll gain access to the Enclave HQ.

You’ll then need to enlist in the military in the faction by completing a basic training course at Camp McClintock and completing quests for the Enclave until you get to the rank of General. You can then gain access to the multiple Silos across the map.

You can also grab a Nuclear Launch Keycard from the restricted military wing in the Enclave.

Once entering the Silos, you’ll need to decrypt what the code for this week’s Nuclear launch is. It is always an eight letter word, so get your detective hat out to figure it out.

After that, you just need to head to the Silos and get into the control room by fighting through waves of powerful enemies. Your goal is to make it to the control room and choose where to launch the Nuke, so you can go fight even more tough foes and claim the rare rewards in that area.
