If you have been trying to log in to Minecraft Dungeons, and are getting hit with an error code that tells you the server is unable to verify game ownership, then we feel your pain.
The error has cropped up a couple of times since the game has launched, and we have good and bad news for you.
The bad news is that there isn’t much you can do to solve the problem. What appears to be happening is a problem with the server that authenticates your copy of the game when you try to connect to the service.
The good news is that it doesn’t seem to take Microsoft and Mojang very long to resolve the issues at all. When it cropped up earlier today, it was resolved inside of thirty minutes, so hopefully, the same thing happens here.
The important thing is that there is nothing wrong with your game, or your launcher, it is just a temporary glitch that should be resolved soon.
It’s cold comfort, but always nice to know that we are not the only affected by issues like this when they arise. At times like this, it is a good idea to keep an eye on the game’s official social media channels, to see if they make any announcements about service interruptions.
If they have not, it is normally a sign that whatever the issue is should be swiftly resolved.
