Pokémon Go will have a new event arriving in June related to the summer solstice for the northern hemisphere and the winter solstice for the southern hemisphere. The event is set to begin on June 19 at 8:00 and goes until June 24 at 10:00pm in your local timezone.
We initially had extremely slim details about this event for Pokémon Go beyond the exact date and times of the event. We know have additional details, and how it revolves around Lunatone and Solrock. You will find Pokémon associated with the sun and moon, such as Clefairy and Sunkern, will be appearing more frequently starting on June 19. During the event, Shiny Clefairy will be available. You do not have to hatch it. You can freely catch it in the wild.
Lunatone and Solrock will also be available as three-star raids during the event, and you can hatch them from 5-kilometer eggs you obtained alongside the event. They will be appearing throughout different regions at unique times. Here’s the schedule:
- Lunatone will be available in the eastern hemisphere from June 19 at 8:00am to June 20 at 11:59pm, local time. It will be available in the western hemisphere on June 23 at 12:00am to June 24 at 10:00pm, local time.
- Solrock will be available in the western hemisphere from June 19 at 8:00am to June 20 at 11:59pm, local time. It will be available in the eastern hemisphere on June 23 at 12:amm to June 24 at 10:00pm, local time.
- Starting June 21 at 12:00am Lunatone and Solrock will be appearing more frequently in the old until June 22 at 11:59pm, local time.
After the event has completed, Lunatone will remain available in the western hemisphere and Solrock will remain available in the eastern hemisphere.
During the event, on July 23, Clefairy will be in the spotlight Pokémon happening from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in your local timezone, so for a limited time, you will probably see many of these spawning throughout your area. Because a Shiny Clefairy will be available more frequently during the event, use this time to attempt to catch as many as you can.
The announcement of the Solstice event was made on the Pokémon Go blog. It was announced at the same time as the upcoming Bug Out event, which takes place shortly after the summer solstice. The Bug Out event will go from June 26 to July 1 and will revolve around the many Bug-type Pokémon in the game.
