Porygon is the polygonal Pokemon, made completely out of a coding error. While it made its debut in the first games of the series, Pokemon Red and Blue, it was not available on the newest games, Sword and Shield. That has changed, however, with the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor DLC. Here is how you can get Porygon to join your team.

How to get Porygon in Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor

Getting a Porygon in Pokemon Sword and Shield is actually the very last reward of the main quest of the Isle of Armor DLC. To get him, you must defeat Master Mustard after finishing either the Tower of Darkness or Tower of Water. Once you beat him, return to the dojo and go to the room on the right and a Porygon will be floating right by the Cram-o-matic. Examine the Pokemon and Hyde will give you a history lesson of the Pokemon’s origins and offer it to you for beating his dad. Accept this offer and you now have Poryon!

Upon receiving Porygon, he will be level 25, so you will need to do some leveling up with him to bring him to your current power level. In addition, Porygon’s two evolution forms have been brought back as well and you can learn how to evolve to them in our How to get the Upgrade and Dubious Disk and evolve Porygon in Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor guide.

Enjoy your time with one of the harder Pokemon to get in the past games and be sure to come back to Gamepur for future Pokemon guides.
