In interesting news, Bungie has teamed up with Twitch and various Destiny 2 Streamers. Using the Destiny extension on Twitch to offer a new Emblem and Shader to people who are willing to gift two subs to a streamer. Now, this should probably be looked at as a reward for people who do this type of thing, rather than an incentive for people who normally don’t.
The first thing you will need to do is make sure you have a Destiny 2 account, a Bungie.net account, and a Twitch account. If you have them all, follow the steps below to ensure that the Destiny 2 extension is working.
- Go to Twitch , log in with a Twitch account, and view a Destiny 2 stream that has the extension currently active
- Navigate to the Viewer Bounties tab of the stream overlay
- Click ‘Grant Permissions’
- Click ‘Link With Bungie.net’
- Select their main platform and log in to Bungie.net to connect their account to Twitch
After that, go to any Stream that has the Destiny 2 extension enabled. Most of the large streamers will have it set up. Open the Extension, then go to Viewer Bounties, and if you can see the current bounties, then you know it is working. After that, you can gift two subs on the stream if you like, and this will get you the Emblem and Shader.
Most of the rewards from the extension are collected from Amanda Holliday in the Tower Hangar, so be sure to check in with her if you cannot find them in your Inventory. As we said earlier, this should be viewed more as a reward for people who do gift subs rather than a way to get a new Shader, as the cost of two subs is pretty substantial.
