How long will Captain America be in the Fortnite Item Shop?

When will he be leaving?
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Update: It looks like our original fear he wouldn’t be around long was unfounded, and Cap is still in the shop today. As such, we assume he’ll be in there all this weekend too, but if you want him you should grab him as quickly as you can, as he could leave the shop soon.

Original: Captain America has arrived in the Fortnite Item Shop just in time to celebrate the fourth of July. As festivities begin to warm up all over the United States, and fireworks go off near Lazy Lake, the first Avenger is here to join the likes of Deadpool, Cable, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. You can get Captain America in the Fortnite Item shop for 2000 V-Bucks, which works out to be about $20. He comes with a shield that will double up as either a harvesting tool or back bling.

You can also get a new emote called Grand Salute, which will set you back 300 V-Bucks and set off fireworks behind you in a very dramatic, yet classy fashion. Now, how long will Captain America be in the Fortnite item shop? Epic has not given a date for when he will be leaving, but we get the impression it will be pretty soon after the fourth of July weekend is over. We suspect you will see Captain American leave the Fortnite Shop when the shop updates on Sunday or Monday.

It is also unlikely that you will see him return unless he happens to come back next year for the fourth of July again. As such, if you want to get your hands on this skin, you should snap it up as soon as possible. The skin looks great, and lots of people are excited that he used the Bifrost to get to the island, as people are hoping that this means a Thor skin might eventually end up in the game.
