Red Dead Redemption 2 – How to Find the Jack Hall Gang Map Treasure

Treasure hunting is a great way to earn some extra gold in Red Dead Redemption 2, and this guide will walk you through the Jack Hall Gang treasure maps.

Where to Find the Jack Hall Gang Treasure Map

You can purchase the first Jack Hall Gang Map from a stranger named Maximo who’s overlooking the river north-west of Flatneck Station. He’ll let you buy it for $10, but you can also rob him if you’re broke or playing as a less than honorable Arthur Morgan.

The details of the Jack Hall Gang Map 1 aren’t terribly specific, but they do point us to the side of a mountain. Fortunately, we’ve got the exact location of the next map right here.

To discover the location that the Jack Hall Gang Map 2 points to, head to Caliban’s Seat. It is there that you will find the rock formation from the map, but locating the buried treasure is a little bit tricky. You’ll have to take a short path down the right side and shimmy along the rock’s edge. There’s a jump you’ll have to make, so be careful. Once you’ve dug up the Jack Hall Gang Map 3, try not to kill yourself getting off this rock.

The next step in the Jack Hall Gang treasure hunt will take you to Cotorra Springs in the north. You’ll be looking for a field of cut trees and find the fourth Jack Hall Gang map hidden at the foot of a very distinct rock pile.

The final step in your journey takes you back up to O’Creagh’s Run, a lake near the location where you may have fought a legendary bear early on in Red Dead Redemption 2‘s story. The treasure is located on a small island that can be difficult to access. Swimming over to it will take a lot of stamina, and some players have reported issues where they instantly run out of stamina and drown. If you’re unable to make the swim, try riding your horse through the lake. We suggest you save the game before attempting to reach the island.

Once you’ve made it, investigate a rock on the south-east side of the small island to unearth four gold bars. Don’t forget to sell those gold bars to a Fence for a total of $2,000.
