Want a Blastoise on your Pokemon Let’s Go team? First you’ll need to follow our “Where is Squirtle in Pokemon Let’s Go” guide and evolve it.
Whether you chose Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee, you’re locked into the titular Pokemon as your starter. The original three starters from Pokemon Red & Blue are available though; you just need to know where to look. We’ve already covered Charmander and Bulbasaur, but what about Squirtle, everyone’s favorite turtle Pokemon? If you want to know how to get Squirtle in Pokemon Let’s Go then we’ve got all the possible locations you can find it here, to answer the commonly asked question; Where is Squirtle in Pokemon Let’s Go?
Where is Squirtle in Pokemon Let’s Go – Route 24, Route 25
Squirtle is the final one of the three you have the possibility of stumbling upon in Pokemon Let’s Go, though it’s not too far away at all. When you get to Cerulean City, head north across Nugget Bridge, toward the same place you can obtain Charmander off the trainer. Go east rather than to the north-west though, and Squirtle can be found in the wild across these two routes.
The same two methods apply here; you either want to throw a Lure down to entice the lil’ monster to spawn or build up your Catch Combo on other wild Pokemon in the area. Eventually, Squirtle should spawn.
According to Eurogamer, Squirtle can also be found around the Seafoam Islands, but they’re not till near the end of the game, east of Cinnabar Island so you’re much better off heading north of Cerulean City if you want a Blastoise on your team for most of the game.
How to get Squirtle in Pokemon Let’s Go – Vermillion City
If you don’t catch one by Cerulean City, you can also wait until you get to Vermillion City. You’ll find a Police Officer hanging around otuside of the Poke Center; she’ll give you her Squirtle as long as you’ve caught a grand total of 60 Pokemon. These don’t have to be unique, simply catch 60 Pokemon in total to be rewarded with the “troublesome” Squirtle. This one is guaranteed to have decent stats too, so if you’re keen on grinding for the best Pokemon stats wise, this Squirtle is a good option.
Make sure you’re checking all the IVs for your starters as you catch them too!
