Destiny 2’s weekly maintenance is ongoing right now and is the cause of some confusion among fans. Normally the maintenance is complete by now, and we are all logging in after the weekly reset and working on getting ourselves some more Pinnacle gear. Not this week. At the moment, the servers are down, and people wonder when the maintenance will be over.
If you try to log on right now, you will be told that servers are unavailable. Bungie has sent a Tweet stating that maintenance will be over at 4PM PDT, which is a little under six hours from the time this was written. This is definitely out of sorts for Destiny 2 updates, and we are currently unsure if the servers will be down this long, or if some kind of extended background maintenance is ongoing.
Interestingly, no update has been made available to download yet, and it reputedly going to be about 8 GB in size, so that might take some time for some players to download whenever it becomes available.
We will update this article when we learn more about the ongoing maintenance.
