As in most RPGs, even in Pokémon Let’s Go players may want to customize their clothing – and those of their own Pokémon – in order to feel more involved. This guide explains where to find them, so you don’t have to wander aimlessly looking for a sports cap or a Rocket Team member costume (if you’d like to wear one for some strange reason).
How to change Outfits
First of all, you might want to know how to change outfits, so we are gonna tell you. It is very simple: all you have to do is open the menu and scroll down until you reach the Clothing Trunk option. Now you can choose what to change or switch between trainer and Pokémon.
Below we will show you the locations where you can find the various costumes, dividing them by game version and trainer / Pokémon. Points will be detailed in the last paragraphs of this guide.

How to get Pikachu / Eeve Set
This set can be obtained by the Chairman of the Pokémon Fan Club (the house with a pink bow on top near S.S. Anna ship). To recognize him, look for an an old mustached man sitting on a sofa: he is the Fan Club President and the costumes are your rewards if you listen to his long story.
How to get Sports Set
This is the default costume, so you basically don’t have to do anything but wearing it. Pokémon will have their own once you visit your big sister in Pallet Town.
How to get Sailor Set
Once in Vermilion City head over to Vermilion Port and look for the S.S. Anna ship. On the wharf, you’ll find a sailor and if you talk to him, he will give you the costume.
How to get Formal Set
This costume will be given to you after speaking to an old lady in the huge tower in Lavender Town.
How to get Team Rocket Set
In order to get this set, you have to find Team Rocket’s secret hideout hidden in the Celadon’s City playground (just defeat the grunt in front of a poster in the right corner and he will activate a switch that opens the secret passage in the left corner). Once inside, talk to a girl spy in the central hallway and tell her you are there to beat Team Rocket: the set is yours.
How to get Assistant Set
Head east from Fuchsia City and approach Route 15. Now go to the top floor of the travel building and speak to the lab assistant to receive the costume you’re looking for. Just make sure you have at least 50 Pokémon in your Pokédex.
How to get Safari Set
In order to get this set, you have to find a man – the Warden – who lost his teeth (you will find him in the first house right of the Pokémon Center in Fuchsia City. He will ask you to help him find them again. Now go on the beach and watch the cutscene: at the end of it, teeth will be given to you. When you return them to the Warden, he will give you the Safari Set.
How to get Police Set
First of all, you have to defeat Team Rocket in the Silph Co. building in Saffron City. After that, you have to find a Police Officer and tell her what you’ve done. Starting at the Pokémon Center, you will find her heading left and then up. After that take the third path on the right and go straight to the end of it: jobs done!
How to get Raichu / Eeveelution Set
To obtain either Raichu or Eevelution Set (depends by your game version) you have to reach the maximum friend level with your Pokémon. Then, go to the Pokémon Fan Club in Vermilion City and talk to the Chairman: here you are.
How to get Team Rocket Blast-Off Set
First of all, you have to complete the main story of the game and become the ultimate Pokémon Champion. Then look for Team Rocket on Route 17, near the water. After you defeat them, they’ll ask if you want to join Team Rocket. Even if you don’t accept their offer, they will give you the outfit set in case you change your mind.
