Outriders is a third-person shooter, class-based RPG, where players pick their character from one of four different classes. You can select from a variety of weapons, abilities, and use unique skills broken down by various skill trees. It’s being published by Square Enix and developed by People Can Fly, a Polish company that worked on Gears of War, 2, 3, and Judgment, along with Bulletstorm. The developers sat down to speak with Well-played and were able to talk a bit about the upcoming shooter, such as how long the game will take.
People Can Fly spoke about the length of the game, and it can go one of two ways, entirely dependent on how players go about the title. For those who go through it by themselves and focus on completing the main missions, you can expect to finish it somewhere around 25-hours. When you plan to work on the game’s side-quests, bounty missions, and other tasks where you’re exploring the game’s environment, you can expect a much longer gameplay experience, somewhere north of 40-hours.
You can make it a hefty adventure, depending on your playstyle. It’s how you and your friends want to play the game. After you complete the main campaign of the game, the side missions, and anything else you want to beat along the way, there’s still the end game content in Outriders. The end-game content will, supposedly, keep players invested in the game and busy for a good chunk of time. Should the game continue to be a success, People Can Fly would add new stories and build on the world, adding to the consistent stream of quests and content.
