How to complete the Coral Buddies Modern Age quest in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 – To Infinity and Beyond

Time for the next step.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

If you have been fully exploring the map in Fortnite, you will know that there are some challenges to be found on a small island near Lockies Lighthouse involving the Coral Buddies. We have already helped them develop to the Wood Age and the Stone Age. Now it is time for them to start the space race, and enter the Modern Age.

The first thing you will need to do is head to their island, which can be found to the north of the Shark, and to the west of Lockie Lighthouse.

You will need 100 metal when you get there, and it might be better to grab this on the way. The good news is that the water going down has again turned The Shark into somewhere worth exploring, and you can find plenty of metal here if you need it.

Now, there are two groups on the island. There is a large group all hanging out near the small town, but you want to head for a small group standing near the pyramid and the newly erected launch site. These are the guys that need your help. When you get there, a prompt will appear when you look at the launch site, and you can interact with it to give them the metal.

Upon giving them the stone, you will earn 25,000 XP, and they will have a nice new spaceship facility to dance around. Once that is complete, you can help them get to the Nuclear Age, but you may need to begin another match for the challenge to switch over.
