Because Pokémon Go Fest 2020 attendees were able to complete 24 of the 32 global challenges at the event, Pokémon Go fans everywhere have access to Unova Week as an Ultra Unlock. There are three Ultra Unlock weeks, and the final one is all about the Pokémon from the Unova region. There will be special research tasks available that you can complete throughout the week, giving you access to more Unova Pokémon. You can receive these by spinning the photo discs at Poké Stops and Gyms.
The Unova Week tasks don’t launch in the game until on August 14 at 1 pm PT. Normally, research tasks for special events launch in New Zealand ahead of time, giving trainers all over the world a better idea of what to expect when it unlocks for them. However, for Unova Week, players will not learn about these tasks until it all becomes available at the same time.
All research tasks and rewards
Complete these tasks during the Unova Week event to receive their rewards to capture more Unova region Pokémon.
- Win a raid – Roggenrola encounter
- Use 5 berries to catch a Pokémon – Lillipup, Patrat, Pidlove, or Purrloin
We’ll be updating this guide with how many there are, what you need to do, and their respective rewards as they arrive.
