A brief guide on how to link your Nintendo account to Dr. Mario World.
Nintendo’s newest mobile game, Dr. Mario World, released today on iOS and Android devices. In a Candy Crush-style game, players must eliminate the bacteria by lining up the proper pills associated with them. It’s color matching, but the gameplay’s entertaining featuring familiar characters and rewarding puzzles.
Those with Nintendo accounts may wish to link the account to their game. The primary benefit of linking the two is players can access their game from multiple devices. If you have the game on your iPhone and want to play it on your iPad, you won’t repeat levels with a linked account.
Plus, you can safely back up your game data.
So, how exactly do you link accounts?
Linking accounts is relatively straightforward, once you find the button. To begin the process, click the settings gear on the left-hand side of the screen (in the red circle on this image).
This section is probably where the confusion is. Most games, even Nintendo ones, offer a “link accounts” button somewhere in their settings menu. Instead, players must access the feature through the big, red “Back Up Save Data” button in the center of the screen.
Clicking the red button initiates this screen. From here, tap the green “Link” button.
If you’re on iOS like I am, you’ll see this familiar pop up. I imagine Android devices provide you with a similar message. Hit continue, and you’ll get redirected to Nintendo’s website. Sign in or create an account. Once you’re signed in, select the account and confirm.
Congratulations your accounts are now linked, and you can access your game file on multiple devices!
