Mega Charizard Y Weaknesses

Mega Charizard Y is a Fire and Flying-type Pokémon, which is in line with its traditional form. While not different, it’s still a powerful adversary. It’s weak to Electric and Water-types and is especially vulnerable to any Rock-type attacks.

Pokémon to counter Mega Charizard Y

The best Pokémon you can use against Mega Charizard Y include Rhyperior, Omastar, and Zekrom.

Rhyperior is a Rock and Ground-type Pokémon, capable of dealing a lot of damage to Mega Charizard Y. It’s a sturdy Pokémon you can use in the fight that can withstand several of Y’s attacks, and deal plenty of damage. It has a maximum CP of 3,733, an attack of 241, a defense of 190, and stamina of 251. The best moves it can use against Mega Charizard Y are smack down and rock wrecker. Alternatively, it can know smack down or mud slap with earthquake.

Next we have Omastar, a Rock and Water-type Pokémon. It’s likely an unorthodox choice, but because of its unique typing, it can prove a useful asset during this battle. It has a maximum CP of 2,786, an attack of 207, a defense of 201, and a stamina of 172. It certainly doesn’t have incredible attack or defenses, but it can reliably support your team and withstand Mega Charizard Y’s attacks. The best moveset it can learn includes rock throw and rock slide. These are, unfortunately, legacy moves. Yours can also know mud shot and rock blast to do plenty of damage.

Finally, we have Zekrom, the Electric and Dragon-type legendary Pokémon. Not many trainers may have access to this Pokémon because it was difficult to locate, but it’s a great choice for those who have it. It has a maximum CP of 4,038, an attack of 275, a defense of 211, and stamina of 205. It has incredible attack power, making it an excellent choice to face off against this Mega Evolution, but you also want reliable defensive Pokémon backing it up. The best moveset it can learn includes charge beam and wild charge.

These are only some of the best choices to use during against Mega Charizard Y in this Mega Raid. Your other choices include Golem, Golem (Alola), Zapdos, Terrakion, Rampardos, Kaubtops, Kyogre, Gyarados, Vaporeon, Milotic, Suicune, or Swampert.

When you beat the raid you have a chance to capture a Charizard at the end.
