One of the more interesting mechanics in Nexomon: Extinction is how you actually catch these creatures. An important aspect of the process is feeding them. Before you try to catch a Nexomon you can feed it an assortment of food to increase the chance of a successful catch. With 381 different types of Nexomon and a plethora of different foods, you may be wondering how you are supposed to figure out what the little critters like to eat.Â
Thankfully, this is much easier than you think. If you open up your main menu and go to the Database, you will see a list of all the Nexomon that you have encountered so far. They will be broken out by Type, and if you hit the Y button it will give you a list of only the Nexomon that you have encountered.
You can look at the profiles of any Nexomon that you have encountered and see important stats, such as their Health, Strength, Attack, Defense, and Speed. You can also see their rarity and type. Directly underneath their portrait, you will find the information that you are looking for about the foods they like. Each Nexomon will have three types of foods that they like which will be denoted by small pictures under their main portrait.Â
The only downside is that you cannot check the Database mid-fight, so it is better to just battle a Nexomon the first time you meet it, then check the Database afterward if you want to take advantage of feeding it to make it easier to catch.
