This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Pokemon Masters launched a little earlier than expected, and some players have encountered a troublesome code preventing them from playing the game

Pokemon Masters got released a few hours earlier for those interested in playing the game. However, because it released today, the game may have a few bugs or issues during the first couple of days. A common issue some players are encountering is the Error code 20101. Many see it as soon as they open up the game. What does it do, and can you fix it?

Error 20101 in Pokemon Masters

What is it?

When you launch the game, and you get the unfortunate luck of encounter this issue, you’re not going to get much information. The game is only going to have the error code displayed on the screen, with a static stop sign above it. Under that, you’re going to read that it says, “Please check your connection and try again.”

The game is telling you, for whatever reason, your internet connection to the game is not correctly functioning. You won’t be able to play the game, at this time. You can hit okay, and the game may attempt to start back up again. But you’re likely going to get that screen still.

What’s the fix?

As of right now, we do not have a fix for this issue. Because the Pokemon Masters released today, you’re likely going to see this error quite a bit. It could boil down to so many attempting to get into the game at one time. For now, you may want to close down the application, wait a few minutes, and try again. You may need to give the servers enough time to accept the people, and have people come out of it, to enter.

Error 20103

This error is a bit more of a different beast. It’s similar to the 20101 error code, saying your phone cannot connect to the servers. It similarly happens with error 20101, and after clicking at the “okay,” button, you should see it disappear.

Both of them are errors with your phone not properly connecting to the Pokemon Masters servers. They’re not too big of an issue but are reasonably annoying. Clicking them away should allow you to continually play the game without any interruptions.
