Here’s how you go about signing up for the Project Resistance closed beta program to try out the game before it releases
Project Resistance is getting more coverage as Capcom reveals more details about the game at Tokyo Game Show 2019. We got a new trailer featuring a great deal of gameplay, and we learned more about how the team-system works. Additionally, we know it’s going to be a four-vs-one game where a single player attempts to send a horde of zombies against the group of four. For those interested in trying out the game before it releases, Capcom is allowing exclusive players to try it out. Here’s how you sign up for Project Resistance’s closed beta.
Signing Up for Project Resistance’s Closed Beta
When Does the Closed Beta Start?
You have a bit of time before the Project Resistance closed beta starts. The dates include Oct. 4 to the 7. However, you have a bit more limited time to venture out and try to get access to it. When you visit the Project Resistance website, you’re going to see you only have from Sept. 12 to the 19 to sign up, giving you far less flexibility than the legitimate dates to play the game.
You’re going to need a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One if you want to play Project Resistance. If you only have a PC, unfortunately, this closed beta is not going to be available for you. Capcom could hold one in the future, but they have not shared their plans to do so at this time.
How to Sign Up for the Closed Beta
Getting into the closed beta is a little bit more complicated than providing Capcom with your respective PlayStation 4 or Xbox One username and waiting for an email from them. There are some steps you need to go through to get started.
For PlayStation 4
For those on the PlayStation 4, you need to become a member of the Resident Evil Ambassador program. If you’re interested in becoming an ambassador for Capcom, you can follow the steps over here to verify yourself as one. It might not be for everyone, given the length of questions and requests Capcom are making. But for those who are, you’ll want to answer all of them to get into the closed beta.
After you become a Resident Evil Ambassador, here are the other requirements of the closed beta:
- You must have a PlayStation 4 or a PlayStation 4 Pro
- You must be able to participate in the beta during the closed beta dates
- You must have been given a code by the Resident Evil team, which you’re going to get from the email you use with the Ambassador program
For Xbox One
If you have an Xbox One, you’re going to need to be a member of the Xbox Insider program. If you want to become a member of the program, you can follow this link to do the steps and confirm your status as such. Here are the other requirements to get into the Project Resistance closed beta for the Xbox One:
- You must have an Xbox One or an Xbox One X to participate
- You must be able to join during the closed beta dates
Participants can expect to receive a Project Resistance closed beta test code on Sept. 30, at 7 am PST.
Project Resistance is set to release to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC on Steam at an unknown date.
