The easter eggs never end in the Borderlands franchise, and Borderlands 3 is no different. One of the notable easter eggs references the popular anime show One Punch Man, an incredibly powerful hero it only takes him a single punch to defeat the most fearsome of foes. The bandit who gets used to reference him has the same reputation, but there’s a chance to get an equally powerful shotgun that can down nearly any opponent. Here’s how you get it.

One Punch Man Easter Egg and Legendary Shotgun in Borderlands 3

Get to the Easter Egg

You’re going to reach the easter egg in Promethea, which is a little after the early area of the game. You’ll want to go through some of the main stories to reach this point. When you reach Promethea, you know you’re getting close. Eventually, you’re going to receive a quest called Proof Of Wife. The quest is going to take you to the same area in the city where the One Punch Man easter egg. When you reach the quest giver for the Proof of Wife, stop, and go down the stairs located next to them. You should head down to this sewer-like area. Continue going through it until you get the first opportunity to turn left. You’re going to find a dead end.

If you’ve located the dead end, you’re good to go. That’s where you want to be. You want to go inside the area with a chain-link fence, where you should see several levers, wheels, and buttons to push. You need to click these in the correct order to unlock the door on the other side. The door opens when you turn on all of the screens on the far side of the room. You might not get it on your first time, but keep pushing the buttons, levers, and rotating the wheels until it works.

Eventually, the One Punch bandit should show up. He’s going to have this massive right arm, and a tiny left one. You need to be careful fighting him because if he hits you, you’re going down in a single swing. When you do down him, you have the chance to receive the One Punch Chump legendary shotgun. However, it’s not a guaranteed drop, so there’s a chance you won’t get it.
