As you prepare to jump into the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer alpha this weekend, you’ll want to make sure you choose the right Wildcards to equip to your character before your first match.

Wildcards were first introduced in Black Ops II and serve as passive abilities for your character while in a match. They can give you a variety of different benefits and powers, and they can be mixed and matched to suit your preferred play-style.

Here is the list of the Wildcards you can use to make sure you aren’t going in blind.

Danger Close

This Wildcard will allow you to take extra lethal and tactical equipment, while also having you start the match with full ammo. It’s perfect for players who aim to play the objective, giving you plenty of firepower to take over a point and defend it.

Gunfighter

The Gunfighter Wildcard will unlock three extra attachment slots for your primary weapon, bringing the total to eight slots. This opens the door completely to let you fully kit out your weapon the way you want it, and helps for when you can’t choose between two different attachments to use.

Law Breaker

Using this Wildcard will allow you to replace your Secondary Weapon with another Primary, allowing you to forego having a pistol or launcher. It helps double your firepower since Secondary Weapons are usually short on range. With another Primary, you can be sure that running out of ammo with one won’t send you into a panic.

Perk Greed

As you can probably figure out from the name, equipping this Wildcard will allow you to equip three extra perks. You can choose a Red, Blue, and Yellow perk to bring into battle, allowing for more passives to have with your character.
