Leveling up in Cube World is not a straightforward as someone might believe it is. Here’s how you do it in the game.
The Cube World beta is alive and going on right now. For those are jumping into the game, you’re eager to get started and start exploring the game. You don’t want to leap into hot water, though, not without a few levels under your belt. Leveling in the game takes a bit of time. Here are some tips and methods to leveling up in Cube World’s beta.
How to Level Up in Cube World
You Need Artifacts
To level up in Cube World, you’re going to need to gather up artifacts. These magical artifacts are going to boost your character’s overall level and make them stronger. Getting to these artifacts and locating them is a difficult task. You’re not going to find yourself immediately leveling up as you progress through the game. Instead, you’re going to want to focus on the basics of the game to establish yourself before you begin looking for these magical items. Here are some things you can do to make your life in the game significantly easier.
Get Ranked Gear
An excellent method of becoming stronger in Cube World is looting and gaining ranked items. These items are going to boost your overall performance in combat, enhancing your experience in a fight. To gain gear, you’re going to need to complete quests or find enemies in the world. When you’re looting equipment, it’s essential to keep this hierarchy of item color in mind, to understand their rarity. The list below is from the most common color to the rarest:
- White
- Green
- Blue
- Purple
- Yellow
You’re likely going to find plenty of white and green items in the world, but blue, purple, and yellow are the most difficult to find.
Find Towns and Shrines
Towns and shrines are critical locations in Cube World. A town is going to allow you to craft any gear you want to make, health potions, fly to the multiplayer portion of the game, and speak to NPCs to gain quests and receive rewards for completing them. A town is a useful location to have on your map. Getting started here is a great idea.
For shrines, you’re going to use these as respawning locations, and you can teleport to them. These make it easier to fly around the map, and if you die, you’ll know where you’re going to end up.
Try Out Multiplayer
If anyone enjoys these games more with their friends, you’ll want to play in the multiplayer with your friends. To do this, you’re going to need access to a town. In the town, you need to speak to the Flight Master. They’re going to give you access to going to a friend’s world. Talk to the Flight Master, and you should see a list of your friend’s names, and a wing icon next to their name. Click on it, and you’ll find yourself heading to their world.
You do not have to pay for this flight. You can freely visit the Flight Master in town and meet up with your friends without any cost to yourself or your friends.
Overall, you want to spend some time exploring the region you’re in and locating quests or enemies who are going to drop gear. The gear is going to make progress in the game easier, and when you locate a magical artifact, you’re going to level up.
