Fortnite Battle Royale Birthday Challenges 2020

Happy birthday.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Epic made a strange decision earlier this year, opting not to have Birthday challenges for the battle royale mode in July. Players felt a little left out in the cold, but it seems that Epic’s plan was to split the birthday celebrations to more appropriate times.

Save the World originally launched in July, but the battle royale mode launched in September, and it would seem that some challenges are on the way to celebrate that fact. And, Fortnite being Fortnite, the challenges have leaked now that update 14.20 is available.

  • Cumulative challenge – complete any 4 challenges
  • Play matches (0/10) – Spray
  • Dance in front of different birthday cakes (0/10) – Wrap
  • Outlast opponents (0/500) – Icon
  • Gain health or shield from Birthday Cake (0/50) – 80,000 XP

They are pretty basic challenges, for the most part, but we will have some guides covering where to find birthday cakes so that you can get your dances done. Everything else really just boils down to playing the game.

Gaining health or shield from a Birthday Cake will be similar to how every other consumable item works, just pick it up and then eat it when you need it.

If you are wondering when these challenges will go live, it would appear that it will happen this weekend, so make sure you keep an eye on Fortnite so you know exactly when they have gone live in the game.

If this event seems a little low-key for you, don’t forget that both Halloween and Christmas events are on the horizon, and you can expect to see plenty of challenges arrive for Fortnitemares and Winterfest, which will more than likely provide all manner of free goodies for you to enjoy.
