This groundskeeper keeps messing up your plans. Lets lock him out of the garden.
The first victim you meet in House House’s Untitled Goose Game is the groundskeeper. This poor man is just tending the garden, and here you are, stealing his keys, taking his lunch, ruining his crops. You’re a menace. He tries to chase you out, puts up a sign to tell this accursed goose to get out of the garden.
How rude. You should lock the groundskeeper out and teach him a lesson in hospitality.
Another item on the post-game to-do list is to lock the groundskeeper out of the garden. Until you’ve beaten the main game, the details on the As Well list remain hidden. That doesn’t mean you can’t complete them by accident while you’re playing through the core game. They will be revealed one by one if you manage to stumble into them early.
How to lock the groundskeeper out of the garden:
This one is a little more complex than some of the others on this list. In comparison, stealing the old man’s woolen hat is a short, two-part task. This one has some back and forth going for it.
First, take the man’s keys. If you wait until he’s busy with the garden, you’ll have an easier time getting away with them. Make sure he doesn’t come back for them. Drop them in the lake if you want.
Next, you need to lure him out of the garden. The easiest way to do this is to turn on the sprinkler. He’ll come out to glare at you and turn it off.
When he is busy with the sprinkler, run to the gate and use your beak to close it. It’s a quick button press, and the gates swing shut.
That should teach that rude groundskeeper to be kinder to his guests. The optional part is to use the dedicated honk button to taunt him while he paces around the garden, looking for a way inside. Which you should do.
