There are a handful of drivers with mustaches in Mario Kart Tour, and you have to complete a challenge where you gain 7000 points
Mario Kart Tour is out right now. When you’re playing this game, you’re going to discover that the score you earn at the end of the game matters quite a bit. It’s going to determine how many gold stars you earn, making it easier to gain access to the next cup. However, you can also complete challenges based on how many points you get at the end of the game.
Scoring 7,000 Using a Driver With a Mustache from Mario Kart Tour
Given the parameters of the challenge, you’re going to use a select driver to complete it. Here are the current options as of this writing:
- Mario
- Metal Mario
- Mario (Musician)
- Mario (Hakama)
- Luigi
- Waluigi
- Wario
This list is going to change in the future; we do know this. At the time of this writing, Mario Kart Tour only has these available drivers with mustaches. We have seen Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi in trailers for the game, though. They’re likely going to release in future updates to the game.

Now, the best way to gain a high score with any one of these drivers is to have them unlocked on your main screen. Unfortunately, there’s no definite way to unlock these characters. You have to rely on getting them using the pipe option, with rubies. Rubies are the game’s premium currency. Players are going to earn these by playing the game, leveling up, and completing select challenges.
Click on the driver in your Driver’s selection menu. From there, you want to see what courses they’re going to excel at in the game. You can see it their “Favored Courses,” and you want to participate in the ones at the top. These options are the ones where the driver has a chance to draw from three item boxes when they hit an item block. Should they get the same item for all three, they’re going to initiate Frenzy Mode. When the driver is in their Frenzy mode, they’re going to get the most points while they’re playing, potentially hitting other drivers and gaining the lead.
You can increase your score in multiple ways:
- Having a higher driver, vehicle, or glider level
- Hitting other drivers with items while playing
- Collecting coins
- Hitting a drift to get a boost
- Preforming a jump boost
- Finishing at a higher placement, such as first
You won’t get this immediately, and it’s going to take a bit of practice to feel out a track, seeing how your driver best gets their points when you play them. The faster circuit you go on, the higher the value of points you’re going to receive at the end. Unfortunately, the highest level of race is the 200 cc, which is locked behind the golden ticket season pass.
Despite this, players who continually place and practice with any of the three drivers should do fine. It’s merely making sure you draw them when you activate the pipe.
