Whitetail Mountain is controlled by Jacob Seed, he is a maniac who is using some kind of music to turn people into monsters. You will need certain things before you go and start gathering the prizes from Prepper Stashes. Get a grappling hook, it cost 1 point and through this, you can easily climb on radio towers, bridges, mountains, etc. Next thing you will need is Lockpicking ability that will cost 6 points. Through this, you can unlock safes and doors because some stashes are behind doors or locked in a safe.
All Prepper Stashes Locations In Whitetail Mountain
1: Cliffhanger
Look for a crashed car and near the dead body, you will get the note. Turn around and you will see the waypoint top near the bridge. The path is on the left of the crashed car, jump over the rock edges and once you are near to waterfall use the grappling hook to climb up. Next, go right and once again use the grapple to swing on the other side. Finally, when you are on top you have to shoot down a few enemies. There will be a helicopter also, after dealing with the enemies you will find Ted. Take the key. The lockbox is on the backside of the crashed car below.
2: Gone Squatchin’
You will have to locate a house on top of the mountain, the stash is inside but the door is locked. One the left of the door you will find the note. After reading it, you have to find Dansky for the key. Take the path on the right of the house, keep walking towards the waypoint. In the end, you will reach the Lookout Point. Go left and you will get the note on the broken wooden ledge. For the next waypoint, go further up, follow the blood trails. You find a backpack, use the grapple to go up. You will have to reach the top, look for the blue ropes, those your path to go ahead. There are grapple points also, using them you have to swing on the edges of mountains.
You will spot a dead deer, from there you have to go down, on your left, you will see the dead body of Dansky and the key is on the ground near to him. After taking that, you have to return to the house down. There are two ways you can go down all the way through the mountain edges, or if you have wingsuit and parachute then you can glide down. Open the house door for the stash.
3: Hangar Pains
You have to go to Landsdowne Airstrip, on the left corner you will get the note on a trolley. Read that and turn right. You have to enter the hangar. There is a radio tower on the opposite side of the hangar, climb on that and you can glide towards the roof, use a parachute to land. Get into the hangar and hit the red switch to open the door.
4: Mayday
You will be somewhere in the mountain area, near a waterfall. The note is on the left end of the bridge near a backpack. Now the waypoint is on the top, take the path on the right of the bridge. Keep walking till you reach a grapple point, go up and walk left. Go near the waterfall, and you will see a rock to climb on your right. Once again there will be a grapple point, climb further up and use the grapple point on the broken bridge to swing to the other side. There are two guards on the top. Kill them and walk ahead for the next grapple point just above an up arrow sign.
Once again use the grapple to reach on top, and then you will get another one over the broken bridge. Go down, and cross the waterfall. You have to swing ahead, and then use the final grapple point to reach the top of the mountain. Once again you have to fight with a few cultists in the area. Here you have to find the key, for the case which is on wooden create just on the right of the third guard. Take it and open the case near at the crash point.
5: Salvage Rites
For this, you have to go near the lake to find the Salvage Camp. The note is near the tent. Swim down for the key, reach the third light. Swim up and return to the camp.
6: Shipwreck
The note is located on the island, look for military cabinet near a shed. To activate the dredge controls you have to swim down below the sunken cabin in the water on your right end. Swim from below and you can enter inside. It is not like that you swim down and instantly got in the house, you have to swim a bit to see the stairs. Once you are in, take the stairs to go up and then ahead you will get the controls. Interact with it, and go outside. You can now enter the bunker.
The bunker is below the water, swim down, and then swim up to reach the other side. Move ahead and once again jump into the water, and swim through the cave. Keep swimming till you reach a bunker door on your top. The stash in the right room, watch out for a snake.
7: The Holdouts
There is a holdout point, the note is on the left side near the sacks on cabinets. After reading the note you have to find the bunker. It is located on the backside of the house inside a small shed, which has an American flag on it. Before entering there are a cultist and an animal on the back. And also you will need to find the key first. Go in the house and down below in the kitchen you will find the key card that will be used to unlock the door in the bunker. You can climb from the roof where you will see two open windows, enter the first from left, down and you will find the kitchen. Few more cultist will arrive deal with them and then head to the bunker. Shoot the bunker lock and go down.
8: Unwelcome Guest
You will reach a house in the mountain with a locked door. The note is on the wall, the waypoint will appear on the right end. Go from the back of the house, there is a path that will lead you to some blood trails, that will lead you to a cave. There is a bear, and a dead body ahead. The keycard is near the body. Once you got the key return to the house. Unlock the door and access the reward.
