However, the way you make changes to the Fallout 76’s “.ini” file is a little different than the previous games that Bethesda has released. Fallout 76 PC Error And Fixes
The old process of editing the .ini files includes going to the game’s folder, searching for the .ini file and opening it in NotePad and making the changes. This process is not applicable to Fallout 76. Check out the instruction below on how to make changes to the .ini file in Fallout 76.
- Step 1: Go to the Fallout 76 Folder – the path/directory should look something like this: /Documents/My Games/Fallout 76.
- Step 2: Look for a file named: Fallout76prefs.ini, make a copy of it and rename it to Fallout76Custom.ini.
- Step 3: Delete all the content that is present in “Fallout76Custom.ini”. Once it is empty, open it in NotePad or NotePad++ for editing.
Note: Any changes made to this file will rule any other .ini in that folder.
Add the following text in the Fallout76Custom.ini file
1: How To Enable Fullscreen Mode In Fallout 76
To enable fullscreen mode in Fallout 76 enter the following line of code to the Fallout76Custom.ini file. This will force the True Fullscreen mode, and if your PC is capable enough to run the game (i.e. if the specs of your PC meets the Fallout 76 Minimum or Recommended PC Specs) then you won’t experience the annoying FPS or any other issue like that.

3: How To Adjust Field of View In Fallout 76
You can adjust Field of View in Fallout 76 just by adding the following two lines under the [Display] header.

NOTE: It’s all up to you to replace the value of 90.00 to whatever value you want. A lot of players have used the value 110 and experience no issue at all. However, the only thing you need to be careful here is that changing the Field of View in Fallout 76 can cause an annoying animation or clipping issues.
4: How To Use FXAA In Fallout 76 From TAA
Fallout 76 make use of a TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing) by default. You can change this to FXAA by adding the following line in the Fallout76Custom.ini file under [Display] header.

5: How To Disable Mouse Acceleration In Fallout 76
In order to disable Mouse Acceleration, add the following line under the [Controls] header.

6: How To Normalize Vertical Sensitivity In Fallout 76
All you have to do is add the following lines under the [Control] header.

fMouseHeadingYScale = X
The value of X here should be decided based on your aspect ratio.
- For 4:3 Aspect Ratio, the value of X is .028
- For 16:9 Aspect Ratio, the value of X is .3738
- For 16:10 Aspect Ratio, the value of X is .336
- For 21:9 Aspect Ratio, the value of X is .42
7: How To Disable Grass In Fallout 76
