There’s always something going on in Pokémon GO. The latest addition to the game comes in the form of Team Rocket. They’ve been causing trouble for the past few months by taking over PokéStops and using Shadow Pokémon. Now, though, their leaders have come out to play. It’s up to trainers all over the world to take them on in some battles. Finding them is going to take a bit of time, though. Here’s how to find Team Rocket leaders in Pokémon Go.

How to Find Team Rocket Leaders in Pokémon Go

The method of finding a Team Rocket leader got shared by the official Pokémon Go Twitter account, though there were no exact details. We do know what players are going to need, though. Here’s the mentioned tweet below:

From the looks of it, the mysterious components and materials Professor Willow has been tracking down for the past few weeks are going to be the central method players are going to use to find these leaders. All of this ties into the Looming in the Shadows research project. We have a guide over here detailing how to go through it, so make sure to check it and learn how to do it and complete it.

Players are going to need to gather up to six Mysterious Components. These components are the key to building a Rocket Radar, which is going to point players in the direction of a nearby Team Rocket leader.

To get any of the Mysterious Components, players are going to need to locate Team Rocket Grunts. These hooligans are at captured PokéStops, which they’re guarding with their shadow Pokémon. Take them out, and you’re going to get the chance to grab a component. When you have six, go into your inventory to build the Rocket Radar.

The Rocket Radar is going to provide players with the location of the nearest leader. They’re going to hold up in their hideouts, and there are three Team Rocket leaders to fight: Cliff Sierra and Arlo. They’re going to have shadow Pokémon, so make sure you bring your best teams in to help librate these captured creatures and save them. Capturing these shadow Pokémon is also apart of the Looming in the Shadows research project.

That’s everyone players need to know about finding a Team Rocket leader. By defeating enough grunts, players are going to gather up enough Mysterious Components and have a Rocket Radar. For those who beat enough of these leaders, they’re going to unlock the opportunity to build a Super Rocket Radar, which is going to give them access to the big baddie himself: Giovanni.

Good luck, Trainers. The Team Rocket Leaders in Pokémon Go are no easy trial, so make sure you bring the best party with you to fight them.
