All Go Fest 2020 battle challenge tasks and reward in Pokémon Go

The next series of challenges are now available in Pokémon Go leading up to Pokémon Go Fest 2020 on July 25 and 26. The previous week’s tasks focused on trainers showing the skills they’ve acquired over the past few years. This week’s tasks focus on battling, and trainers can expect to fight back the current Team Rocket invasion where Team Rocket balloons have been spotted all over the game. You may even have a chance to meet Jessie and James along the way, who have a pair of distinctive shadow Pokémon you can capture.

There are three stages for this event, and then an Elite challenge at the end. The battle challenges are only available from July 10 to 15. By completing these challenges for your Pokémon Go team, you unlock additional Pokémon who can show up to the Pokémon Go Fest event, and each team will bring a different Pokémon if 1,000,000 players from your team complete all of the challenges. They do not need to complete the Elite challenges, but it’s a good bonus objective.

Stage 1

• Power up a Pokémon – 100 Stardust
• Evolve a Pokémon – 1 Rare Candy
• Defeat a Team Go Rocket Grunt – 2 Hyper Potions

Rewards: 100 XP, 5 Revives, and 5 Hyper Potions

Stage 2

• Purify 2 Shadow Pokémon – 2 Max Revives
• Power up a Pokémon twice – 200 Stardust
• Defeat 2 Team Go Rocket Grunts – 2 Max Potions

Rewards: 3 Max Potions, Hitmonlee Encounter, and 3 Max Revives

Stage 3

• Power up a Pokémon three times – 500 Stardust
• Rescue 3 Shadow Pokémon – 3 Max Revives
• Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket Grunts – 3 Max Potions

Rewards: 1 Rare Candy, Absol Encounter, and a Super Rocket Radar

Battle Elite Challenge

• Defeat 15 Team Go Rocket Grunts – 5 Super Potions
• Defeat a Team Go Rocket Leader 5 times – 5 Hyper Potions
• Defeat the Team Go Rocket Boss (Giovanni) – 5 Max Potions

Rewards: 500 XP, 500 Stardust, and 5 Razz Barries
