The Sinnoh spirit trio Pokemon that watch over the lakes are finally here and available to capture in certain parts of the world in Pokémon Go. So how exactly can you take them on and capture them?
First, these Pokémon are only available in certain parts of the world at the time of writing (granted that could change.) Here is where they can currently be found:
- Asia-Pacific region: Uxie
- Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: Mesprit
- The Americas and Greenland: Azelf
If you are extremely lucky, however, then you might be able to find them in the wild near a body of water and won’t need to face off against them in raids.
If raids are your only option, though, be sure to get together with a team of other trainers to take them on. A large number of fellow trainers participating in raid battles increases your chance of successfully defeating that Pokémon and Niantic advise that trainers have at least 15 people take on a raid for it to be successful.
As the trio are all Psychic type, you want to get a team of strong Bug, Ghost, or Dark Pokemon that are at least 2,000 CP or higher to increase your chances of defeating them. Pokémon like Umbreon or Gengar can work best here so long as they have the right moves on offer.
After beating them, you’ll then be given a chance to capture the Pokemon through a small selection of Pokéballs. It’s incredibly difficult to capture a Legendary Pokémon, so we strongly recommend using Golden Razz Berries to boost your chances of catching the Pokémon.
Should you fail to capture the Pokémon with the limited amount of Pokeballs on offer, then you will need to find another raid, battle and defeat them again, and then pray that this time you successfully capture them.
