It is the final week of Loot the Universe in Borderlands 3, and the fun has moved to Nekrotafeyo this week. As usual, there will be a massive increase in the chance for Legendaries to drop, so you can get some solid farming on for weapons you may not have.
This is actually very worthwhile right now, as the somewhat stagnant tier list for the best weapons will hopefully be getting a shakeup in an upcoming patch, allowing players more build variety, and less reliance on the dozen or so most powerful weapons in the game. Some rebalancing is also on the way for higher Mayhem levels, so weapons that were once dismissed may end up being extra powerful in a few weeks.
For now, you can get Assault Rifles at Nekrotafeyo, as the area is far more likely to spawn them due to Loot the Universe.
We would suggest you load in, then follow the only real path on the map to the first area that Maliwan has taken over. There are a huge number of badass enemies here, and it will only increase if you are playing on True Vault Hunter Mode and high Mayhem levels.
It’s a good idea to take advantage of the Revenge of the Cartels events as well. As long as you have an active mission to get to the Villa Ultraviolent, Cartel members should spawn more regularly, giving you tough enemies, and even a chance to get some of the named Cartel members to spawn in for a shot at weapons like the Nopewpew and the O.P.Q System.
This is as good a spot as any on the map to farm and is reasonably close to the initial spawn point, so you can get there pretty quickly.
