Borderlands 3 – How To Get The Doom Legendary Shotgun Easter Egg

To get the Doom Shotgun, known as the Speedloadn’ Hellwalker, all you need to do is play the game. You don’t need to go anywhere special, because this weapon can drop from one of the bosses.

Just play the story until you reach Athenas, the make your way through the level and follow the story missions until you come to a boss fight called Captain Traunt.

This can be a pretty tough fight, depending on your level. Traunt is in heavy armor, can do ice and fire attacks, and has a couple of exciting tricks up his sleeve. The first thing you want to do is strip that shield, and he has a LOT of shielding. Make sure you bring a weapon that is good for ripping shields apart. Be very careful of his massive area-of-effect attacks.

If you decide upon a clever plan and decide to hide out in the raised hallways to either side, then be careful. Traunt will spawn in these huge balls of ice and fire that race around the outskirts of the arena, and up and down those corridors. It is possible to stand in the corridors and not get hit; you need to make it to the wider part of the corridor. Once you get Traunt down to his red health bar, the fight is pretty quick; don’t give him the time to recharge those shields.

The Doom Easter Egg Legendary Shotgun is not a guaranteed drop, so you may need to farm this boss a few times. To farm him, spawn in the at the start of the mission, then run to where the fight is each time. It doesn’t take very long if you ignore the bad guys on the way to the fight.

And there you go, the Doom Easter Egg Legendary Shotgun should be yours in no time!
