At the start of Cadence of Hyrule, you will decide to wake up either Link, or Zelda, and that character then becomes your main character as you play through the game. There is a way to unlock the other character; however, if you know where to go and what to look out for. One thing you should know about Cadence of Hyrule is that the map is randomized for each play though, so there is no way to give you directions to where you need to go. We can, however, tell you the names of the items you need, where to get them, and all that other good stuff, so read on to find out how to unlock Link or Zelda in Cadence of Hyrule.

To unlock Link or Zelda, you will need to make your way to Kakariko Village. As I said early, the overworld map is randomized for each playthrough, but it seems to show up a lot in the south-eastern corner. When you get there, you will find the character you didn’t choose is still blissfully sleeping in bed. Talk to the old man nearby, and he will tell you that he needs a Hibiscus Potion to wake them up.

Go to the graveyard in the village, and you will find you can push the largest gravestone there to reveal a hidden dungeon. The dungeon is pretty tough, and the final boss you will need to fight is Shadow Link, but once you manage to beat it, you will get a Hibiscus Potion. If you find the dungeon too tricky, then it is better to activate the warp stone in the village and play through other areas to get stronger, then return and take it on again.

Now, all you need to do is return to the sleeping character and use the potion to wake them up. You will now have access to both characters.
