Can you fast travel in Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise?

Do you always need to skate around?
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

There is a considerable amount of travel around the town of Le Carre to be done in Dead Premonition 2. You have two legs, and a skateboard, but it can get a little too old to have to endless run from place to place. The good news is that after a couple of hours of gameplay, you will able to unlock a fast travel system in the game.

At the start of the game, you will be stuck walking or skating from place to place, but as you progress a little bit into the investigation, you will meet a new character when you return to your hotel. Raven is a lady known in Le Carre for her fast driving, and she has a pretty clever business idea. Raven sets up a small stack of tires with a red balloon attached to them outside many of the business and areas of interest in Le Carre. These are fast travel points, and interacting with them will call Raven, and let you know you need a lift.

Raven will show up and is willing to give you a lift to any other location on the network, for a small fee. Just use your map to select a destination with the red symbol YV on it, and you will be brought there by Raven. The cost isn’t all that much, as it is easy enough to earn money in the game just by following the investigation, and it will save you plenty of time.

You can also add new stops to the service by finding the tires and balloon at new locations and interacting with it. Doing so will earn you ten dollars from Raven, which is a nice little bonus.

The story around this is quite funny, as Raven predicts the existence of companies like Uber, so she sets up her own company called Y-Vern to try and get into the market early.
