Destiny 2 – Bounties Guide, how to get them and track them

Bounties in Destiny 2 are a great way to earn extra experience, level up your Season Pass Rank, and get your hands on new gear and loot. All bounties offer different rewards, so make sure you check what they are before you grab them. They will also give you some form of challenge you will need to finish to complete the bounty.

When a bounty has been completed, you do not need to return to the vendor that you got it from, and can simply hand it in by clicking on it in the Quests tab of your Director.

Destiny 2 Bounties

Bounties can be collected from several Vendors in the game. This includes Shaxx, Zavala, the Gunsmith, and the Drifter in the Tower. You can also collect Bounties from the regional Vendors as well, such as Devrim Kay in the EDZ, Eris Morn on the Moon, etc. Every explorable area in the game will have a vendor that can give you Bounties, and some may even have a special Seasonal vendor or a vendor for a special event like the Dawning.

To pick up a bounty, go the Vendor that offer Bounties for the activity you wish to play. Each vendor will have five bounties available on any given day, and two weekly Bounties per week. After that, you have 24 hours to complete the bounty before it expires, and seven days to complete the Weekly Bounty. This timer is from when you pick up the Bounty; it is not tied to the Weekly Reset.

• Shaxx – Crucible Bounties
• Zavala – Vanguard Bounties
• The Drifter – Gambit Bounties
• Saint 14 – will offer Trials bounties on weekends
• The Gunsmith – Weapon Calibration Bounties
• Regional Vendors – Random Bounties for that Region. This includes Eris on the Moon, Variks on Europa, Spider on the Tangled Shore, etc.

Once you have purchased the bounties, you can review and track them on the Quests screen. Open the Director and then click on the Quests tab. All active bounties will be shown here on the right side of the screen, and you can scroll over them with the cursor to review their details. Once a bounty has been completed, you can hand them in straight from the Quests tab. There is no need to return to the vendor you got them from.

If you want to track the Bounty, just click on it and it will be added to your screen when you take out your Ghost, giving you a quick way to check your progress. You can track up to four different Bounties/Quests at once.

Rewards From Bounties

To see the rewards for any Bounty, scroll over it before you pick it up from the Vendor. You can also scroll over it on the Quests tab to see the rewards.

Bounties can offer experience, loot and resources, Tokens that you use to buy Engrams from Vendors, or Rank for certain activities like Crucible and Gambit. Bounties can provide a great boost to your Rank, or a steady source of important resources like Upgrade Modules or planetary materials upgrading gear.
