In DIRT Rally 2.0, if it were not already clear, you will understand the real differences between different rally cars. We explain to you what the best first choices could be at the beginning of the game.
In DIRT Rally 2.0, if it’s not not already clear, you will definitely come to understand the real differences between different rally cars. You will already discover it from the game menu by carefully observing the rich selection of historic and modern cars divided into a large number of rally classes. The groups differentiate cars based on their power, type of driving, traction and can further be divided into subclasses.
What are the starting cars in DIRT Rally 2.0?
In DiRT Rally 2.0 you’ll find rally cars, as well as those designed for Rallycross. Start the game with the classic Lancia Fulvia HF for rallies and Opel Corsa in the Rally Super 1600 Rallycross class.
These two are not the most exciting machines in the game, but their repairs are always free. If you want to save some money on new cars and lose too much money due to many accidents, those two will always be a good choice, allowing you to make money without paying for your mistakes.
How to buy cars in DIRT Rally 2.0?
To buy a car, go to your garage anyway. Each car can be tested before purchase by going on a short track. Not all cars will always be available for purchase – the content of the store changes every 8 hours, marked by the counter located in the upper right corner of the screen.
If the car you wanted to buy is not available, wait, instead of spending the money immediately. Many cars are available in a new or used version. Used cars are cheaper, but keep in mind that those cars will require several repairs immediately after purchase.
The differences between the classes, however, can be quite large, so it’s generally a good idea to pay attention and not buy a powerful class B car, no matter how much you like the iconic Audi Sport Quattro or Lancia Stratos.
What are the best cars to buy at the beginning of DIRT Rally 2.0?
Now we will try, however, to divide the best cars to buy at the beginning of the game based on their price range.
- 50,000 credits: Volkswagen Golf GTI 16V or the small and spirited Mini, but the latter is not as good as top speed.
- 150,000 credits: Peugeot 208 R2, fast and stable. Maybe it’s not as iconic as the 205, but it won’t even lead to frustrations on the road.
- 250,000 credits: Mitsubishi EVO or Subaru. In this price range one can not disregard the purchase of one of the legends of the rally, in particular, the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X or Subaru WRX STI NR4. The all-wheel drive and excellent handling, combined with good performance, make driving pleasant even on the most demanding surface.
- 270,000 credits: Subaru Impreza 1995. But if you want to try something more powerful than Group B you can try MG Metro 6R4. It will certainly not be such a resistance as, for example, the Ford RS200, but for power it is unbeatable at the beginning.
An off-list mention is absolutely the Subaru WRX STI, but we’re talking about the RX, so it’s really very expensive. As usual, however, it will drive you like a dream.
This is all about the possible purchase choices at the beginning of DIRT Rally 2.0. Have fun!
