Fire Emblem: Three Houses is launching very soon for Nintendo Switch. If you have been wondering if the game would have any same-sex relationship options, then wonder no more. US Gamer has reported that the game will have same-sex romance options. Nintendo of America confirmed that this would be the case.

While there have been some leaks in the past about possible same-sex relationships in the game, this does confirm the option exists. It is crucial to keep in mind that romance options can only be pursued after the game goes through a time skip, or else there would be some very inappropriate conversations to be had. The game is set in a school, after all.

Below this point, there will be some spoilers for the game, so only read on if don’t mind that.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses – Same-Sex Relationships

The following information is drawn from leaks about the game. We will update this as more information becomes available when the game gets into people hands.

Male Same-Sex Romance Options

It looks like the only male same-sex romance option will be Linhardt.

Female Same-Sex Romance Options

For the ladies, it looks as though there will be same-sex romance options with Edelgard, Sothis, Mercedes, Dorothea, and Rhea.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is set at the Church of Seiros’ Officer’s Academy, where you are invited to teach one of its three mighty houses. As professor to a group of promising, and important, students, you must lead them in their academic lives, and the turn-based combat that comprises the game’s battles.

You will have to choose whether to lead The Black Eagles, The Blue Lions, or The Golden Deer. You will be able to roam Garreg Mach Monastery, interact with your students freely, and other NPCs, gather intel, and bond with the game’s many characters. You will need to teach your students how to wield a variety of weapons, master their magical studies, and work on special skills that will help them on the battlefield.

The game also promises to be filled with mystery, and hard-fought tactical battles with a twist. It releases tomorrow, so you won’t have long to wait to get your hands on it. Until then, you might enjoy our review of the game.
