Does Persona 5 Strikers have romance options?

Is love in the air?

With Persona 5 Strikers throwing the Phantom Thieves into a whole new adventure, players are wondering if the game will have any romance options. Can you got cosy with any of the characters in the game?

Unfortunately, Person 5 Strikers doesn’t have romance options for a pretty simple reason, the basis of the romance system isn’t actually in the game. The Confidant system has been removed, and replaced with a Bond system that represent the overall group relationship rather than individual relationships within that group.

While there is technically a date later in the game, and you have the choice about who you go with, the game lacks any real romance options or ways to develop them.

While we are sure some players will miss the chance to romance characters in the game, Persona 5 Strikers is a different beast from the other Persona titles. The emphasis is more on the overall story across the entire group, and on the fast-paced combat that makes up the action sections. The Bond system is in the game to feed into this, improving character stats and skills during fights.

For this same reason, we don’t expect any romance options to be added to the game over time, as it would seem that the option just wouldn’t even be there for the developers without a major overall. It is best to go into Persona 5 Strikers, which is an excellent game, from the point of view that it is a fun and interesting snapshot of life for the Phantom Thieves.
