Throwback Challenges are not the only events happening in May for Pokémon Go players. You can look forward to the Snubbull Limited Research event, which kicks off on May 9. The event goes from 8:00am to 10:00pm in your timezone.
During the event, trainers can obtain over 50 different research tasks, each granting an encounter with Snubbull, the Fairy-type Pokémon. The post on Niantic’s Pokémon Go blog detailing this event says many of them can be done from the comfort of your home, so you can expect a good chunk of these research events won’t be too overly complicated for you to complete or force you to walk a good distance outside of your house.
With 50 candy, you can evolve your Snubbull into Granbull, another Fairy-type Pokémon that can reach a maximum CP of 2,552, an attack of 212, a defense of 131, and stamina of 207. Granbull’s best movesets include bite and play rough, snarl, and play rough, or charm and close combat. It’s a decent addition to trainers looking to round out their Ultra League roster.
Take advantage of these limited-time research tasks while you can. Not only do you have the chance to capture a powerful Snubbull to add to your collection, but it also has the opportunity to be a shiny version of the Pokémon. The shiny Snubbull version arrives with the Limited Research event happening on May 9 from 8:00am to 10:00pm in your timezone.
