The second Community Day for Pokémon Go will set things up for the rest of the year. So far, there has been no voting or anything input for players to provide regarding the Community Day choice, so if you’ve been waiting for a way to pick between four options, it doesn’t look like the start of the year will have that, but there’s still time for 2021 to feature voting. For now, Niantic will provide details for the Community Day and feature what Pokémon they think the community would like to see.
What is the February 2021 Community Day Pokémon?
The February 2021 Community Day will be all about Roselia. It’s a Grass and Poison-type Pokémon, and you’ll be able to capture it and evolve it into Roserade, also a Grass and Poison-type. When you reach its final evolution, Roserade will learn two new exclusive moves: Weather Ball (Fire-type), a charged attack, and bullet seed, a fast attack. Roserade will be able to battle against other Grass-type Pokémon they encounter and against other Water-types. It’ll still be weak and vulnerable to battling Fire-type moves, though.
When is the February 2021 Community Day?
The announcement arrived days before Machop’s Community Day, surprising many people as Niantic typically waits before making the announcement. However, because the January and February Community Days are tied to the Kanto Tour happening at the end of the month, they likely want to get the announcements out of the way. That also means the dates, too. The February 2021 Community Day will occur on February 7, from 11 AM to 5 PM in your local time zone. It’s early in the month, so make sure not to sleep on it.
You can purchase the February 2021 Community Day ticket days before it releases for $1, or you can buy the Kanto Tour ticket for $11.99 to access it. This offer lasts until February 3.
