Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 means a new map, and thanks to Hypex we already know what it looks like. As many of us suspected there have been some major changes to the map after the Galactus event, but it is not the full reset that many of us hoped for.
While some old locations return, there are plenty of new named locations to explore as well. There are now 16 POIs in total, with the center of the map having been decimated by Galactus’s attempt to consume the Zero Point. It is now a blasted desert, filled with shards of pink crystal.
Four new locations have been added. Stealthy Stronghold to the northwest, just below Lockie Lighthouse, the Colossal Coliseum, and in the desert to the east of the Zero Point, Salty Towers to the west of the Zero Point, and Hunter’s Haven to the south.
All the Marvel related areas are gone, although the rest of the map remains largely the same Risky Reels appear to have been nuked, and the map still has no farm on it thanks to the damage caused by the Zero Point.
