The skill tree in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is going to make you an ideal killing machine in the game. You’re going to want to plan your approach depending on your ideal play style. You’re going to find numerous previous steps connect the numerous different trees. You’re not going to be able to stand on something without first building from a previous tree, so knowing what you want to go helps you make an ideal plan to get to that desired tree of skills.
Reading the Skill Tree in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
The first point you’re going to use in the skill tree is going to go to pick your first profession and class. You can change your class at any time, whenever you find yourself at a bivouac. You can only do it here.
Classes:
- Assault: You’re going to excel with assault rifles and shotguns, with more aggressive tactics.
- Field Medic: You’re going to specialize in healing yourself and your allies.
- Panther: You’re going to excel in quick, fast-moving attacks using pistols and SMGs.

- Pack Mule: Carry 40 percent more ammo and loot 10 percent more
- Night Vision: Gain night vision goggles
- Parachute: Gain a parachute
Weapons (Connects to Basics):
- Rocket Launcher: Unlock access to a rocket launcher
- Close & Personal: 15 percent increase to reload space and 10 percent increase to mobility
- Pistolero: Gain 20 percent damage increase, decrease ability cooldown by 20 percent, and 40 percent experience point bonus while using pistols.
- Better Dismantle: Gain more resources for breaking down weapons and items.
Mark Upgrades (Connects to Weapons):
- MK. 2: Increase craftable weapons to Mark 2.
- MK. 3: Increase craftable weapons to Mark 3.
Stealth (Connects to Basics):
- Syncshot Drone: Highlight targets for your drone to kill when you do.
- Sensor Hack: Increases the difficulty of drones detecting you by 30 percent and damage them by an additional 10 percent.
- Slimshadow: Increases your stealth by 80 and increases your agility by 10.
- Sixth Sense: Increases your marking by 25 meters.

- Breach Torch: Use a torch to get through fences.
- Explosives Expert: Increases explosives area of effect by 20 percent, their damage by 20 percent, and increases throwing range by 60 percent.

- Explosives Mk. 2: Upgrades all of your explosives.
Gadgets 2 (Connects to Gadgets from Stealth):
- Intel Grenade: Send out a grenade to get a readout of enemies in the general vicinity.
- EMP Grenade: Stun nearby drones with the grenade.
- Item Capacity: Carry one additional item.
- Drone Scavenger: Gather more supplies when taking down a drone.
Assault (Connects to Stealth):
- Guerilla: Damage resistance increases by 10 percent and health regen by 20 percent.
- Maximum Ammo: Increases your total ammo carrying capacity by 20 percent.
- Healing Pouch: Gain one additional healing syringe.
- Adrenaline: After a CQC kill, instantly gain back health, increases your reload speed by 20 percent and accuracy by 40 percent.
Assault 2 (Connects to Assault from Stealth):
- Feel No Pain: You cannot reach critical injury status, and injury resistance goes up by 20 percent.
- Syringe Mk. 2: Increases the quality of the syringe.
- Cold Blooded: Decreases health regen speed by 20 percent and your overall health regen speed by 100 percent.

Survival (Connects to Basics):
- Burst Forth: Movement speed increased by 10 percent and stamina regen speed by 50 percent.

- Water Filter: Fill water bottle in swamps and saltwater, increases water carrying capacity by two.

- Specialized Item Carrier: Carry one additional class item.
- Technique Accelerant: Decreases class technique cooldown by five percent.
- Revivalist: Gain 20 percent movement speed and 40 percent damage resistance when an ally gets downed.
- Inspired: Restore health for every kill by an ally.
Tactics 2 (Connects to Tactics from Survival):
- Specialized Item Carrier: Carry one additional class item.
- Technique Accelerant: Decreases class technique cooldown by 15 percent.
- Drone Hunter: After taking out a drone instantly gain back health.
- Convoy Upgrade: Get better quality of weapons from convoys.

- Armory Upgrade: Get better weapons from the armory.
- Skell Credits: Gain 10 percent more Skell Credits.

- Shop Clearance: Consumables are 50 percent cheaper at Maria’s Shop.
Recon (Connects to Basics):
- Thermal Vision: Gain thermal vision (cannot be used in Ghost War).
- Recon Mastery: Gain a decreased 15 percent technique cooldown and gain 50 experience points for every enemy marked by your drone.
- Drone Cooldown: Increases your drone cooldown by 50 percent.
- Resources Detection: See resources on your minimap.
Recon 2 (Connects to Recon from Basics):
- Drone Range: Increase drone’s range by 20 percent.
- Drone Speed: Increase drone’s speed by 20 percent.
- Drone Visions: Drone gains thermal and night vision.
- Drone Mark Area: Drone’s mark area increased by 75 percent.
Sniper (Connects to Recon from Basics):
- Rolling Thunder: Increases sniper rifle’s damage and damage done to drones by 20 percent.
- Ballistic Advantage: Gain 60 range and 30 handling.
- Iron Lungs: Increases breath control by 100 percent.
- Gunslinger: For every hit gain 15 accuracy and handling.
