1). Explore:

God of War has a huge map and there are many places that remain unexplored, so once you are done completing the objective walk around a bit. You might easily spot a chest or an optional quest that will offer you some good rewards.

2). Leviathan Axe is Ideal against Enemy Group:

Leviathan Axe is a powerful weapon that can help you to strategize your move. For example, throwing the axe and freezing a enemy will allow you to focus on the other one around. A lot of upgrades will add more strength to the weapon with different types of attack ideal against a enemy group. Also, you can target enemies at a distance.

3). Stunning Enemies:

Atreus will be with you until the end of the game and his skills matters. He can use Light and Shock arrows depending on the missions you are playing. Shock arrows stun enemies that plays an important role in saving you from attacks and giving you a window to finally take down an enemy. So always use Atreus stun feature.

4). Red and Yellow Circles:

While on stronger enemies you will spot red circles which means you can finish the enemy with a signature cutscene, but sometime you will also spot yellow circles which means it is an unblockable attack and it is the time to evade. Just dodge when you see the circle, you will land left or right but not far from the enemy.

5). Play Dwarf’s Favor:

Brok and Sindri are two Dwarf’s and your default shopkeepers in the game. While playing the game in between they will ask you to do something and if you do you will get rewards. For example, after saving Sindri from the Dragon he offers Atreus new set of powerful arrows. Once they offer you an optional quest called as Dwarf’s Favor you can earn good upgrades.

6). Don’t Forget The Chest:

There is chest around in many areas in God of War, you can spot them easily. A lot of them are kept hidden and some are locked with runes. These are simple to unlock you have to locate three symbols and hit them with your axe. Unlocking the locked ones offers you Legendary upgrades like Idunn Apple that can increase your health meter. So whenever you have a chance explore the area for a chest. While in the water like Lake of Nine, find barrels break them with your boat. There are many things you can find while rowing your boat around the water. Especially the glowing droplet which offers stats upgrades.

7). Use Skills Points On Important Skills:

All four has four main weapons, three are used by Kratos and one is by the boy Atreus. Kratos uses Guardian Shield, Leviathan Axe, and Blade of Choas. While the boy uses Talon Bow. Each of these weapons has its own skill tree and you can upgrade them by spending XP. You will earn a good amount of XP while finishing up missions so anyhow you will have enough. Start with Arrows skills first and gradually upgrade other weapons.

8). Runic Abilities:

Runic Abilities add extra power to your weapons. You can use two at a time, a Light Runic Attack and a Heavy one. You can get them by killing enemies or in the chest. These runic abilities add some extra strength to your weapons that will help you a lot. Each of these has a cool-down time, so you can use them again.

9). Odin’s Raven:

These are birds in the game that will be available in various points, don’t ignore them. Just throw axe on them and you would get chance to unlock a lot of abilities easily. There are around 51 Ravens in the game, so you must keep on finding from the start.

10). Atreus Journal:

Whenever you defeat a new enemy it will be updated in the boys Journal and you will get a notification on the right center of the screen. So it is necessary to read it always as you will see some valuable tips in it on how to defeat them. There will be certain updates that will help you to take down enemies faster.
