This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

For whatever reason it has become a tradition that Far Cry games can be beaten via an alternate secret ending in the first few minutes of the game. Far Cry 5 is no exception and players are able to complete the entire game within the first 10 minutes. You’re essentially robbing yourself of playing the game, but of course there’s no reason not to try this and then start over for real. So, how do you get the secret ending?

Secret Ending

During the opening scene of Far Cry 5 you’ll be asked by your superior to cuff a certain suspect. While doing so sets in motion the main story of the game, you can simply ignore the sheriff’s commands. If you do nothing, after some moments the game alternate ending will commence and you’ll soon be looking at the end credits.

There’s nothing too exciting here, as you would expect from an ending that circumvents the entire game’s narrative, but I suggest you give this a try, if for no other reason than to say that you’ve done so. Once you’ve viewed the secret ending easter egg, reload the game from the beginning and start over. Keep in mind that you can find many tips and tricks in our Far Cry 5 Guide Hub.
