How to beat Rascal in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

It's a shame he's so cute, because you need to destroy him.

Rascal is an appropriate name for the NPC of this pet battle in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. It has an adorable appearance and can cause some trouble, but ultimately it’s too cute to stay angry. You won’t feel too bad about defeating it, as it won’t give you too much grief when putting together a team to take down the Ardenweald’s Tricksters quest.

The easiest way through this battle is to bring Ikky with you to the fight. As an emergency backup, make sure you’ve got a flying pet equipped with Alpha Strike. Start out your attack with Black Claw, which will add 8 damage to each following attack. Follow this with Flock, which will ensure steady damage to Rascal for the next three attack rounds.

If Ikky is still alive, you can finish this fight with Savage Talon. In case Ikky does not survive, now is the time to send in your other flyer, and utilize Alpha Strike to deliver the final blow.

If your team of pets doesn’t include Ikky, try a suitable replacement team. You can use a one-two punch of Valkyr and Anklebiter. Use Curse of Doom and Unholy Ascension for Valkyr, then swap to Anklebiter, wielding Black Claw and Hunting Party. Rascal will go down easily no matter who you have in your setup.
