How to become the rat in a Mafia family in BitLife

The rat hiding from the cats.

Sometimes the Mafia life wasn’t what you expected it to be, or you had a change of heart. If you’ve found yourself working with the wrong people in BitLife, you have the option to gain some evidence against the Mafia you’re working with to ensure you won’t go the jail. There are a few ways to do this and become a rat in your Mafia organization, but there are plenty of risks too. Don’t expect your Mafia family to go easy on you if they find out about you.

There are two ways for you to become a rat. The first is when you join a Mafia family, you have the option to instantly become an informant against the family. You’ll be working with the police to acquire evidence against the family to use in future criminal investigations, potentially used to bring them down. This is the most direct way and is typically a quicker way to become the rat.

The second way to do this is to be caught by the police while performing a crime for the Mafia and then being offered to become an informant. The police give you the option of being put away for a set amount of years, typically a long time, or for being let go to build evidence. You’ll have a set amount of time to find evidence against the family before they bring you in, so you’ll be on the clock.

These options are viable routes and get you to the same place of turning on your Mafia family. If you find enough evidence and show the police what the Mafia family is doing with their criminal activities, you can enter the Witness Protection Program.
