The hardest part of Lost Ark or any MMO is deciding what you should name your character. Even if you thought the name was a good choice, after a while, you might end up questioning your decision. If you find yourself wanting to change your name in the game, you can. However, it isn’t free.
On the character selection screen, pick the character whose name you want to change. Then, click the Change Name button located in the bottom right of the screen. The game will ask you to purchase a Name Change Ticket which costs 1,500 Royal Crystals. Royal Crystals are the premium currency in the game. So, unfortunately, you’ll need to spend real money to get them. Royal Crystals come in four different packs.
- 1,000 Royal Crystals – $9.99
- 2,200 Royal Crystals – $19.99
- 5,750 Royal Crystals – $49.99
- 12,000 Royal Crystals – $99.99
Alternatively, you can get 2,100 Royal Crystals from the Vanquisher Starter Pack which costs $64.99 and comes with a ton of other additions such as a Character Appearance Change ticket and an Alar Skin Chest.
Lastly, if you do end up purchasing a Name Change Ticket, you need to make sure that whatever name you want is available. If a character is deleted, their name becomes free to use after 120 days.
