How to complete all Straight to the Top, Machop! special research tasks and rewards in Pokémon Go

Machop’s Community Day in Pokémon Go officially starts for select regions around of the world on January 16, at 11 AM to 5 PM, local time. Those who purchase the Machop Community Day ticket, or purchased the Kanto Tour ticket, will gain access to an exclusive series of special research tasks and rewards during the event. These rewards will make it easier to effectively evolve Machop to its final form, Machamp, giving you access to its exclusive move for the day, payback.

We crunched how effective payback was for Machamp, and we compared everything with its best moveset. Overall, for any Pokémon Go player, the Machop Community day is a worthwhile event.

All Straight to the Top, Machop! tasks and rewards

These are all of the tasks you need to complete while you have the special research, and all of the rewards you receive. We’ll be updating it when it officially releases.

Task 1

• Power up Pokémon 10 time: 10 Poké Balls
• Catch 15 Machop: 20 Machop Candy
• Make 5 Nice Throws: Machop encounter

Rewards: 1,000 Stardust, 1 Incense, and a Machop Encounter

Task 2

• Catch 15 Machop: 20 Machop candy
• Transfer 10 Pokémon: Machoke encounter
• Evolve 3 Machop: 2,000 XP

Rewards: 10 Poké Balls, 1 Incense, and 15 Great Balls

Task 3

• Make 3 Great Curveball Throws: Machop 20 candy
• Evolve 1 Machoke candy: 5 Golden Razz berries
• Transfer 10 Pokémon: 2,500 XP

Rewards: 10 Poké Balls, 1 Incense, 1 Rocket Radar

Task 4

• Claim reward: 5 Silver Pinap berries
• Claim reward: 2,500 XP
• Claim reward: 4,000 Stardust

Rewards: 2,000 Stardust, 3 rare candies, and 1 Machamp encounter
