The class with the highest number of points by the end of the event will be crowned the winner and receive a statue placed on The Tower in their honor. During the competition, there will be a quest available. In this guide, we will cover how to complete the Best in Class quest in Destiny 2.

The Best in Class quest

You’ll need to work through nine steps to complete this quest.

Task 1

When you arrive at The Tower, you’ll need to find Eva Levante. She will be hosting this competition this year, and you can speak with her to receive the quest and 100 Laurels from purchasing your first Contender Card from her vendor.

Task 2

After choosing your Contender Card, you’ll need to earn Laurels and Medallions. You’ll need to make 10 Laurels to move on to the next step. All players can earn Laurels by defeating enemies using their Guardian abilities. You can earn more Laurels by having your Guardian Games class item equipped, and you defeat Powerful enemies. Medallions take a bit more time. You’ll need to complete activities available throughout the game. We recommend working through Strikes, Gambit matches, Throne World missions, or Crucible matches.

  • Earn 10 Laurels
  • Earn Medallions

Task 3

The third step for this quest will take you back to Eva on The Tower. You’ll need to speak with her to progress forward. During this phase, you’ll earn the Medallion Case from Evas

Task 4

Next, you’ll need to deposit your Medallions to the Guardian Games podium in the courtyard. You can find it immediately behind Eva. When you approach the stage, interact with the podium to deposit any Medallions you’ve earned while playing the game. You need to stand in front of the color of your class. Red for Titans, Yellow for Warlock, and Blue for Hunters.

Step 5

Now, return to Eva, and you’ll receive the Guardian Games: Medallion Battalion quest, a 15-part quest you can complete throughout the Guardian Games 2022 event.

Step 6

After accepting the Guardian Games: Medallion Battalion quest from Eva, you’ll need to find Zavala. You can find his location on The Tower, behind Eva, to the left. Here, Zavala will share how he’ll be tracking your progress through Vanguard missions.

Step 7

You’ll need to earn your first Vanguard Medal for the Guardian Games 2022 competition. You’ll also need to complete a Recreational playlist activity, one of the latest features added to the Guardian Games 2022 competition. You can find the playlist available by opening up your Director and clicking on the top-left Guardian Games icon while visiting the Tower.

Step 8

After completing the Vanguard Strike, return to Zavala in the tower and speak with him to move on to the next step. He’ll share with you that the Recreational and Training playlists are warm-ups for what will be available during the weekend, which is the Competitive playlists.

Step 9

Now that you’ve completed this quest, you can earn The Title SMG, unlocking the Top of Class quest.
