If you’re one of those gamers that invested in the Google Stadia service, then there are a few options when it comes to what you want to play. However, as good as Stadia’s controller may be, some may have a preference for Sony’s DualShock 4 controller.

Connecting Your DualShock 4 To Google Stadia For Mobile

First, make sure that the DualShock 4 is turned off and not linked to another device. Turn it on by holding down both the Options and the PlayStation logo button at the same time. Keep doing this until the light bar begins to flash white on top of the controller.

Once it’s doing this, go to the Bluetooth page on your phone. It should be in the Settings menu, depending on the device. There should be an option for Wireless Controller, as it’ll recognize the DualShock 4 while it’s in its pairing state. Tap on that.

Once connected, go to the Stadia app. Look in the top right-hand corner, and you should see a controller icon. Press that, and you should see Supported Controller in the menu, along with what looks like a DualShock 4 controller to the left. This icon indicates it’s paired.

Connecting Your DualShock 4 To Google Stadia For PC

Plug your DualShock 4 into your computer with a USB cable. (One should’ve come with your initial PlayStation 4 bundle if you need to look for it. If not, it’s easy to find a cable at GameStop or other electronics retailers.) Depending on which computer you’re using, it should instantly recognize the controller.

Once linked up, go to the Stadia website and find which game you want to start.

The steps to connect your DualShock 4 to your PC should be much easier, though there is one small thing you should know.

There is one thing to be aware of, though. The PC app will only confirm the Stadia Controller. That doesn’t mean you won’t be able to use the DualShock 4, but it doesn’t indicate if it’s connected as the mobile app does. We’re not quite sure why that is, but you’ll still be able to play anyway.

Now you can use your DualShock 4 to play your favorite Stadia games, whatever they may be.
