Loot Sharks

How to find and damage Loot Sharks at Sweaty Sands in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3

You're gonna need a bigger boat.

The Loot Shark is a new addition to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3. Now that the map is flooded, we have more than just other players to contend with. The Loot Sharks will infest the waters near different named locations, but in this case, the one at Sweaty Sands is our target. Sweaty Sands is located in the same spot as last season, but has been flooded and is now a dramatically different area.

The Loot Shark can spawn just about anywhere near Sweaty Sands, so if you arrive in the area and it is not there yet, just jump in the water and this should force it to spawn in. You will want to make sure you have some weapons, and the area is a little busy right now, so prepare to fight other players as well.

You also don’t really know what kind of range you will need to damage the shark from, so we would suggest a Sniper Rifle, if you can find one. When the shark shows up, all you need to do is pump some damage into it. If you can find the shark, then check all around the area, as someone else may be keeping it busy. Don’t worry, however, as Loot Sharks can take a ridiculous amount of damage.

Be careful if it comes near the shore, as a shark will come out of the water at you, and can take about a quarter of your health in one bite. They will also smash through walls or other cover to get you, and seem to be particularly aggressive creatures.

When you have done enough damage to the shark, the challenge will be complete, and you can get back to playing the match as normal.
